IX-NAY ON THE ARNING-WAY!!! EAD-RAY T-IAY OW-NAY!!

This book is....how do you say? Ah yes, VERY...VERY FASCINATING. Just a little forewarning; this book does not contain any stories about "Joey,the Slob Drunk Husband" shooting "Martha, the Lazy Housewife" in the can over a simple domestic dispute over a sink-full of dirty dishes, or an empty dinner plate after a hard days work at the toaster factory. This Encycopedia is chock-full-o' historical facts and information, and is a very informative timeline of the history of the worlds known psychopaths, cannibals, necrophiles, serial killers, murderers, and mass murderers. Oh yeah, I forgot, the "National Enquirer" hasn't been established long enough to make up a story about "Seaney Beane" (sp?, don't have the book with me) or the "Bloody Benders", and I seriously doubt their writers would ever be creative enough to conjure up any stories like that, or any of the others for that matter. Please readers, READ THIS BOOK. It will really make you think....

i wish i had seen that guy from swedens review before i bought that book.. i must agree with him.. from the first page i was reading incorrect information.. i will be returning this book for sure. i was all excited to get the book and when i saw incorrect information in first page, i went to the part about dahmer (about whom i have read a lot of books) and the info there was not consistant w/other books on him. i would like to know where they got some of their information for this book. it reminds me of another bad book 'cannibal killers' by moira martingale. if you want to read a really decent, accurate book... read a book by john douglas or robert ressler!!!

This book is an excellent selection of 8 categories adding up to 77 business models/theories/concepts/chapters each comprised of five parts:- The big picture, When to use it, How to use it, The final analysis and References. IMHO, the authors had done a great job in condensing sophisticated ideas into very concise yet comprehensible material. A very useful introduction for managers/executives who have not attended any management course, and a handy reference for those who have. In short, recommended!

I've had bad experiences with this author, but was pleasantly surprised this go round. There were a handful of errors that could have been edited easily and the ending felt rushed. Overall, I did enjoy the story.

Her voice of reason

This was a boring story, which cost more than it was worth. Elizabeth and Darcy never appeared to connect until the end of the story. Elizabeth was a petulant child and Darcy was wanted gratuitous sex without any feelings. The story did not flow and I must have missed the plot-did she really have a voice of reason-she appeared clueless. Darcy accuses her of an affair with little provocation. This appeared to be a conglomeration of her other books-I will take a little of this and little that from my books and make a short story. This was a great disappointment! Would the Elizabeth we know write to a doctor in London and describe her father's symptoms and based on this ridiculous diagnosis decides to marry Darcy?? Then she decides that she is the injured party.

I different telling of our beloved couple.

One of her best P and P variations. I've read over 400 titles and all of this authors books. I really enjoyed this version as it was different than many of those previously enjoyed. Elizabeth literally hates Darcy but marries him out of necessity. After many of the trials and tribulations that our beloved couple frequently experiences they come to know and love each other. It is the getting there that seems unique in this version and I enjoyed it very much.

Lacks Coherence & Flow

This is the very first time I'm leaving a two-star rating for a book I purchased / read. (I purchased a hard copy from a local bookstore). I give it a low rating for a simple reason - a total lack of coherence and flow. This book seeks to build on the pattern established by 'The Secret', where disparate quotations from varied sources were presented, with brief explanatory bits in between. It worked in 'The Secret', mainly because there was a clear focus that ran through everything like a string thread holding it all together. But here it's a jumbled mess!

Also, this book seems to put the emphasis on hardwork, determination, etc and jeers at an easy, relaxed, predominantly mind-based approach, which is what was highlighted in, you guessed it, Rhonda's own 'The Secret' and subsequently in her 'The Power'. Why this contradiction, Rhonda?

I was disappointed

I loved The Secret so much that I can't wait to read any new work by Rhonda. This book, however, fell flat with me....I really felt like it was more of a copy and paste effort than any true thoughts and wisdom of the author. If you want a book of great quotes, this is it, but I would have preferred much more input from the author.
